Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

01251-M vitril single-use gloves, blue, size M

Blue vitril single-use gloves keep you safe. And not just your hands – they also protect the people and objects that come into contact with them from hazards and contaminants. The blue vitril single-use gloves, size M, come in a pleasant, neutral colour, making them an excellent option for use in cosmetics facilities and many other places. Blue food-grade vitril protective gloves are particularly recommended for applications in the food industry, as whole gloves or pieces of them are easily visible in processed foods and containers.

The properties of vitril gloves

Vitril gloves are an innovative and first-class synthetic alternative to natural latex or pure synthetic rubber (NBR, Nitrile Butadiene Rubber). Vitril gloves composed of this new material blend are powder-free and do not contain sensitisers (accelerators). This material is free from any natural rubber proteins, thus protein sensitisation is avoided. The Vitril by Med-Comfort hybrid glove is a modern symbiosis of a thermoplastic and an elastomer (vinyl and nitrile). The material mixture offers identical quality options to nitrile for many areas of application and is similar to the product characteristics of a nitrile glove. Vitril gloves present themselves as a very advantageous and robust alternative in terms of wearing comfort. Vitril gloves are used in the medical field as examination gloves, for care and cleaning jobs, in dentistry, for first aid, in health care, in gastronomy and commercial kitchens, food industry (not with greasy food) as well as product protection for numerous other industrial areas. The single-use glove is odourless and contains no sensitisers. The nature of the material makes the disposable glove stretchable, allowing easy donning and doffing. Thanks to the unparalleled material blend, the non-sterile protective glove has a convincing strength.

Quality that convinces: the vitril disposable gloves

The Med-Comfort brand vitril gloves are classed as "Premium" quality. AMPri only sells products with a very solid level of Basic quality, a better Classic quality and an exceptional Premium quality. The unpowdered, non-sterile vitril protective gloves are ambidextrous. The vitril gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class).

Our suggestions for how vitril examination gloves should be used

These vitril single-use gloves are only suitable for non-sterile use. The vitril disposable gloves provide chemical protection (chemical predection type b) in accordance with the EN 374 standard. According to EN 374, the minimum penetration time must not be undercut for a defined period of time and for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. In addition, the vitril disposable gloves are airtight and waterproof. Protection from microorganisms is a primary characteristic of these single-use gloves. The vitril examination gloves keep the user safe from viruses, bacteria and fungi. The vitril examination gloves are especially suitable for alcoholic, acidic, dry, and watery foods and are thus fundamentally suitable for food. Consequently, we recommend vitril disposable gloves for these sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these vitril disposable gloves or are not sure if they are the right choice for you, please feel free to contact us via the contact form!

The benefits of vitrile

  • Vitrile, as a blend of vinyl and nitrile, is essentially powder-free and free of allergenic proteins and sensitising substances, making it excellent for people with allergies.
  • Vitril is practically odourless and has properties similar to those of nitrile. The material is a hard-wearing substitute for nitrile with high wearing comfort.

The disadvantages of vitrile

  • The vitril gloves do not fit as precisely as latex disposable gloves.
  • Vitril gloves can generally be used with food, but they are not intended for handling oily foods.
