Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

01192-M nitrile gloves, blue, size M

Blue nitrile disposable gloves keep you safe. And not just your hands – they also protect the people and objects that come into contact with them from risks and contaminants. The blue nitrile disposable gloves, size M, come in an attractive, neutral colour, making them an excellent option for use in cosmetics facilities and many other places. We recommend the use of nitrile examination gloves in blue for the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine applications. The food industry, especially, benefits from the bright colour of the gloves, as there are very few naturally occurring blue foods – and whilst the gloves are protective, they can also be spotted easily in case they are unintentionally lost.

The properties of nitrile gloves

Nitrile examination gloves fit like a second skin and offer a high degree of elasticity during use. The material nitrile is a synthetic rubber (elastic polymers). Nitrile is extremely supple and tear-resistant. Single-use gloves made of nitrile keep tight up to the tear limit and thus do not become holey or permeable when overstretched. Disposable nitrile gloves have a significant resistance to oils, greases and solvents and provide dependable protection against viruses and germs, so they can be used as part of personal protective equipment in numerous areas and industries, such as clinics and health care facilities, care of the elderly and sick, and in doctors' or dentists' surgeries, but also in food production and processing, for short cleaning activities, in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and in hairdressing, cosmetics and tattoo studios.

Quality that convinces: the nitrile surgeon's gloves

The Med-Comfort brand nitrile examination gloves are of "Premium" quality. AMPri only distributes products with a very high level of Basic quality, a better Classic quality and an impressive Premium quality. The unpowdered, non-sterile nitrile single-use gloves are ambidextrous. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured nitrile examination gloves have exceptional slip-proof properties and are perfect for working with slippery instruments or materials. The nitrile cleaning gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class).

Our suggestions for how nitrile gloves should be used

The nitrile examination gloves are non-sterile; consequently, they are not approved for sterile applications. Chemical predection type b indicates that the nitrile gloves provide protection from permeation in accordance with the crucial EN 374 standard. This states the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. Protection from microorganisms is a main feature of these single-use gloves. The nitrile gloves keep the user safe from viruses, bacteria and fungi. These nitrile gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for alcoholic, acidic, dry, and watery foods. We therefore recommend nitrile disposable gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible applications of these nitrile disposable gloves or are unsure if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via the contact form!

The advantages of nitrile as a hand protection material

  • Stretchability in a class of its own: nitrile can be stretched up to 500% of its dimensions. Thanks to the so-called "material memory", it adapts individually to the contours of the hands.
  • It provides an ideal grip and is therefore also more secure.
  • The resistance to chemicals allows for a broad spectrum of uses. It is also the perfect alternative to latex for people with allergies as nitrile is protein-free.
