Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

14-100-S latex gloves, black, size S

Latex disposable gloves in black have become an essential part of the catering industry. Black latex disposable gloves fulfil a number of purposes. They not only protect the hands; they also guarantee good hygiene in food handling, because food does not touch the skin. We offer these disposable gloves in size S. Particularly for restaurants with open kitchens or in food trucks, the black latex gloves inspire customers' confidence because they make it instantly obvious that the workplace is sanitary. Black disposable gloves are also frequently found in tattoo studios or beauty salons. Furthermore, we recommend the latex gloves for the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine.

The properties of latex gloves

Latex is harvested from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in producing single-use gloves. The latex protective gloves shine with excellent properties that promise comfortable wear. Consequently, there is not yet a suitable replacement for latex, despite extensive research into substitute materials. Latex gloves are primarily used in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is an inexpensive alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality that convinces: the latex single-use gloves

The Style by AMPri brand latex protective gloves are labelled as "Premium" quality. AMPri only sells products with a very good level of Basic quality, a superior Classic quality and a top level of Premium quality. You can wear the unpowdered, non-sterile latex single-use gloves on your left or right hand, as the fit is designed for ambidextrous use. The latex disposable gloves gloves are fully textured, so they provide a significantly more effective grip than other non-textured or partially textured gloves. "Extra grippy" is a special feature of these latex protective gloves. The latex single-use gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class).

Our recommendation for you: Our latex protective gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications

The latex protective gloves are non-sterile; as a result, they cannot be used in sterile applications. Chemical predection type b indicates that the latex single-use gloves offer protection against permeation in accordance with the important EN 374 standard. This lays out the minimum penetration time for a certain number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. Protection from microorganisms is a main characteristic of these disposable gloves. The latex disposable gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. These latex protective gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for acidic and watery foods. We therefore recommend latex disposable gloves for these sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex disposable gloves or are not sure if they are the right solution for your requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us via the contact form!

The advantages of latex

  • The biggest advantage of the natural material latex is its incredible elasticity and tear resistance.
  • Latex provides a pleasant wearing sensation that has almost no noticeable impact on tactile sensitivity.
  • Latex gloves also protect the wearer from a wide range of acids and alkalis.

The downsides of latex

  • Unfortunately, price fluctuations cannot be ruled out, as the natural raw material is reliant on harvest yields and market prices.
  • Water-soluble proteins contained in the latex can trigger allergies if worn often. Alongside the latex protective products themselves, the powder of the latex gloves (in the case of powdered variants) is also a significant cause of allergies.
  • Latex gloves are not approved for handling oils or solvents, as these substances can rapidly permeate the material.
