Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

14-100-M latex disposable gloves, black, size M

Latex protective gloves in black have become an indispensable part of the catering industry. Black latex protective gloves fulfil a number of purposes. They not only protect the hands; they also safeguard proper sanitation in food handling, as food does not touch the skin. We offer these disposable gloves in size M. In addition, the black latex single-use gloves are like a stylish accessory, in combination with a chef's apron and knife, in upscale restaurants. But single-use gloves in this dark colour are also popular in tattoo parlours, beauty salons etc. We recommend these latex single-use gloves for the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine.

The properties of latex single-use gloves

Latex gloves and finger cots are – unlike disposable gloves made of vinyl or nitrile – products made of natural materials. This is because the latex used in disposable gloves is extracted directly from rubber trees. Thanks to its excellent physical properties and its comfort for the wearer, there is currently no real substitute for natural latex. Consequently, the main areas of application for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is an inexpensive alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality that convinces: the latex protective gloves

At AMPri, you can be sure that all our products are of proven high quality. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex protective gloves have first-rate slip-proof properties and are the right choice for working with slippery instruments or materials. "Extra grippy" is a special feature of these latex protective gloves. The latex single-use gloves are labelled as Md class i (medical product class).

We recommend latex gloves for the following applications

These latex single-use gloves are only approved for non-sterile use. Chemical predection type b signifies that the latex protective gloves provide protection against permeation in accordance with the important EN 374 standard. It defines the minimum penetration time for a certain number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and watertight. Protection from microorganisms is a primary characteristic of these disposable gloves. The latex protective gloves protect against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The latex single-use gloves are especially suitable for acidic and watery foods and are thus fundamentally suitable for food. Consequently, we recommend latex single-use gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible applications of these latex single-use gloves or are unsure if they are the right solution for your requirements, please feel free to contact us via the contact form!

The benefits of latex

  • Latex is a wholly natural product and extremely stretchable.
  • Latex provides a pleasant wearing sensation that has almost no noticeable impact on tactile sensitivity.
  • It also provides protection against many acids and alkalis.

Latex protective gloves: the downsides of latex

  • Unfortunately, fluctuations in price cannot be ruled out, as the natural raw material is reliant on harvest quantities and market prices.
  • Latex gloves are known as a potential trigger for allergy sufferers because they contain water-soluble proteins that might irritate respiratory mucous membranes, especially in the case of the powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
  • Latex gloves can be permeated by oil and solvents and, consequently, not suitable for handling these substances.
