The properties of latex single-use gloves
Latex gloves and finger cots are – in contrast to vinyl or nitrile – products that come directly from nature. This is because the latex used in single-use gloves is extracted straight from rubber trees. Thanks to its excellent physical properties and its comfort for the wearer, there is presently no real replacement for natural latex. Therefore, the main areas of application for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Quality of the latex protective gloves
These latex gloves are available in very good premium quality. It is important to us at AMPri that all our products are reliable, which is why even our Basic standard of quality is very high. Products of Classic quality are in a superior category, and Premium quality products are absolutely first-rate. The unpowdered, non-sterile latex single-use gloves are equally suitable for left-handed and right-handed users, as they can be worn ambidextrously. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex disposable gloves have exceptional non-slip properties and are perfect for working with slippery instruments or materials. The latex gloves features the special characteristic "extra grippy". The latex protective gloves are labelled as Md class i (medical product class). Our recommendation for you: Our latex protective gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications
These latex single-use gloves are only intended for non-sterile applications. The latex disposable gloves provide chemical protection (chemical predection type b) in accordance with the EN 374 standard. According to EN 374, the minimum penetration time must not be undercut for a certain period of time and for a particular number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. What's more, the latex disposable gloves are airtight and watertight. Protection from microorganisms is a primary feature of these disposable gloves. The latex protective gloves keep the user safe from viruses, bacteria and fungi. These latex gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for alcoholic, acidic, dry, and watery foods. Consequently, we recommend latex gloves for these sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these latex gloves or are wondering if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via the contact form! The benefits of latex as a hand protection material
- Latex is a completely natural product and highly stretchable.
- Latex provides a pleasant wearing sensation that has almost no noticeable impact on tactile sensitivity.
- Latex gloves are impervious to a broad range of acids and alkalis.
The disadvantages of latex
- Unfortunately, fluctuations in price are always possible, as the natural raw material is reliant on harvest yields and market prices.
- Latex gloves are known for triggering allergies because they contain water-soluble proteins that might aggravate respiratory mucous membranes, particularly in the case of the powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
- Oils and solvents can immediately penetrate latex gloves, which is why they are not suitable for handling such substances.
