The properties of latex single-use gloves
Latex is a material that can be extracted naturally from rubber trees and used for making single-use gloves – in contrast to nitrile or vinyl, which are made from synthetic raw materials. Latex also has exceptional natural properties, so latex gloves fit the hand smoothly and are extremely comfortable to wear. For this reason, these disposable gloves (and finger cots) are used in areas where latex gloves are worn for numerous processes and everyday tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's offices and in nursing homes, and also to a certain degree in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a cost-effective alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Quality of the latex gloves
The Eco-Plus brand latex gloves are labelled as "Classic" quality. AMPri only distributes products with a very solid level of Basic quality, a superior Classic quality and an exceptional Premium quality. You can wear the unpowdered, non-sterile latex gloves on either hand, as the fit is designed for ambidextrous use. The latex disposable gloves gloves are fingertip textured, so they deliver a significantly more effective grip than non-textured gloves. The latex gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class). Our recommendation for you: Our latex disposable gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications
These latex protective gloves are only designated for non-sterile use. The latex gloves provide chemical protection (chemical predection type b) as defined by the EN 374 standard. According to EN 374, the minimum penetration time must not be undercut for a certain period of time and for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. Additionally, the latex gloves are airtight and watertight. Protection from microorganisms is a primary feature of these single-use gloves. The latex protective gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. These latex protective gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for dry and watery foods. Consequently, we recommend latex gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. - Latex is a wholly natural product and highly stretchable.
- The tactile sensation is excellent.
- Latex gloves also protect the wearer from many acids and alkalis.
Latex gloves: the disadvantages of latex
- Unfortunately, price fluctuations are always a possibility, as the natural raw material is reliant on harvest quantities and market prices.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in the latex can trigger allergies if used regularly. In addition to the latex protective products themselves, the powder of the latex gloves (in the case of powdered variants) is also a major cause of allergies.
- Latex gloves can be permeated by oil and solvents and, therefore, not suitable for handling such substances.
