Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

14-028-XL latex single-use gloves, black, size XL

Latex gloves in black have become an essential part of the catering industry. Black latex gloves fulfil several purposes. They not only protect the hands from excessive strain; they also safeguard proper sanitation in food handling, because food does not come into contact with the skin. Our disposable gloves are available in size XL. On top of that, the black latex disposable gloves look like a stylish accessory, alongside a chef's apron and knife, in chic restaurants. But single-use gloves in this dark colour are also popular in tattoo parlours, beauty salons etc. We recommend these latex disposable gloves for the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine.

The properties of latex gloves

Latex is obtained from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in manufacturing disposable gloves. The latex disposable gloves shine with excellent characteristics that guarantee comfortable wear. For this reason, latex cannot yet be completely replaced, despite extensive research into alternative materials. Latex gloves are mainly found in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is an inexpensive alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality of the latex gloves

At AMPri, you can be certain that all our items are of reliably high quality. Whether you select our very solid Basic quality, better Classic quality or exceptional Premium quality: You can be confident that all our products will meet your needs. These latex disposable gloves are of premium quality. The unpowdered, non-sterile latex gloves are ambidextrous. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex protective gloves have first-rate non-slip properties and are the right choice for working with slippery instruments or materials. "Extra grippy" is a special feature of these latex gloves. The latex disposable gloves are labelled as Md class i (medical product class).

Our recommendation for you: Our latex protective gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications

The latex single-use gloves are non-sterile; consequently, they are not designated for use in sterile applications. Chemical predection type b indicates that the latex single-use gloves offer protection against penetration according to the important EN 374 standard. This lays out the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. The latex gloves offer protection from microorganisms and are consequently impervious to viruses, bacteria and fungi. These latex disposable gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for acidic, dry, and watery foods. We therefore recommend latex disposable gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these latex disposable gloves or are unsure if they are right for your needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the contact form!

The benefits of latex in protecting the skin

  • The greatest advantage of the natural material latex is its impressive elasticity and tear resistance.
  • Latex provides a pleasant wearing sensation that does not affect tactile sensitivity.
  • Latex gloves also keep the skin safe from a wide range of acids and alkalis.

Latex gloves: the downsides of latex

  • Unfortunately, volatile prices are always possible, as the natural raw material is dependent on harvest yields and market prices.
  • Water-soluble proteins in the latex can cause allergies if used often. Alongside the latex protective products themselves, the powder of the latex gloves (in the case of powdered versions) is also a decisive allergen carrier.
  • Oils and solvents can quickly permeate latex gloves, so they are not suitable for handling such substances.
