Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

01033-S latex gloves, white (shade: latex paint), in size S

White latex disposable gloves protect you. And not just your hands – they also protect the people and objects they touch from health hazards and contaminants. The white latex disposable gloves, size S, come in a pleasant, neutral colour, making them the right choice for use in cosmetics facilities and many other places. We generally suggest using white (and blue) latex disposable gloves for applications in the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine.

The properties of latex single-use gloves

Latex is extracted from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in producing disposable gloves. The latex gloves shine with excellent characteristics that guarantee comfortable wear. That is why latex cannot yet be fully replaced, despite extensive research into substitute materials. Latex gloves are often used in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality of the latex protective gloves

At AMPri, you can be sure that all our products are of dependably high quality. Whether you choose our very solid Basic quality, superior Classic quality or exceptional Premium quality: You can be confident that all our items will meet your needs. These latex disposable gloves are of basic quality. The unpowdered, non-sterile latex single-use gloves are equally suitable for left-handed and right-handed users, as they are designed for ambidextrous wear. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex protective gloves have exceptional slip-proof properties and are ideal when working with slippery instruments or materials. The latex disposable gloves features the special characteristic "extra grippy". The latex disposable gloves are categorised as Md class i (medical product class).

We recommend latex gloves for these applications

The latex disposable gloves are non-sterile; as a result, they are not suitable for sterile applications. The latex gloves provide chemical protection (chemical predection type b) as defined by the EN 374 standard. According to EN 374, the minimum penetration time must not be undercut for a certain period of time and for a certain number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. In addition, the latex gloves are airtight and watertight. Protection from microorganisms is a main feature of these single-use gloves. The latex disposable gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. These latex gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for dry and watery foods. Consequently, we recommend latex gloves for these sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these latex gloves or are wondering if they are the right solution for your requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us via the contact form!

Latex gloves: the advantages of latex

  • The natural product latex from rubber trees is extremely flexible and strong.
  • Latex guarantees an optimal tactile sensation.
  • Latex gloves are resistant to a wide variety of acids and alkalis.

The downsides of latex in protecting the hands

  • The raw natural material is dependent on harvest quantities and commodity prices. This can result in price fluctuations.
  • Latex is more likely to cause allergies with frequent use because of the water-soluble proteins. Latex gloves are not recommended for people who suffer from allergies. In the powdered version, the powder is also a potential hazard.
  • Oils and solvents can easily penetrate latex gloves, so they are not suitable for handling such substances.
