Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

01183-M nitrile gloves, blue (dark blue), in size M

Blue nitrile cleaning gloves protect you. And not just your hands – they also protect the people and objects that come into contact with them from health hazards and contaminants. The blue nitrile cleaning gloves, size M, come in an attractive, neutral colour, making them ideal for use in cosmetics facilities and many other places. We recommend the use of nitrile cleaning gloves in blue for the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine applications. The food industry, above all, benefits from the eye-catching colour of the gloves, as there are very few naturally occurring blue foods – and whilst the gloves are protective, they can also be spotted quickly if they are lost by mistake.

The properties of nitrile surgeon's gloves

Nitrile single-use gloves fit like a second skin and offer a high degree of flexibility during use. The material nitrile is a synthetic rubber (elastic polymers). Nitrile is extremely elastic and hard-wearing. Disposable gloves made of nitrile keep tight up to the tear limit and thus do not become holey or porous when overstretched. Single-use nitrile gloves have a strong resistance to oils, greases and solvents and provide reliable protection against viruses and germs, meaning they can be used as part of personal protective equipment in numerous areas and industries, such as clinics and health care facilities, care of the elderly and sick, and in doctors' or dentists' surgeries, but also in food production and processing, for short cleaning activities, in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and in hairdressing, cosmetics and tattoo studios.

Quality that convinces: the nitrile single-use gloves

These nitrile surgeon's gloves come in very good premium quality. It is important to us at AMPri that all our products live up to our customers' expectations, which is why even our Basic standard of quality is particularly high. Products classed as Classic quality are in a higher category, and Premium quality products are absolutely top-notch. The unpowdered, non-sterile nitrile surgeon's gloves are equally suitable for left-handed and right-handed users, as they are designed for ambidextrous wear. These gloves are fingertip textured. Fingertip textured nitrile gloves have excellent non-slip properties and are the right choice for working with slippery tools or materials. The nitrile gloves are labelled as Md class i (medical product class).

Our recommendations for how nitrile cleaning gloves should be used

These nitrile cleaning gloves are only approved for non-sterile use. Chemical predection type b signifies that the nitrile single-use gloves provide protection from permeation according to the crucial EN 374 standard. It states the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. The nitrile surgeon's gloves provide protection from microorganisms, meaning that they are resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. These nitrile cleaning gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for alcoholic, acidic, dry, and watery foods. Consequently, we recommend nitrile disposable gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these nitrile disposable gloves or are not sure if they are the right solution for your requirements, please feel free to contact us via the contact form!

The advantages of nitrile in protecting the skin

  • Stretchability in a class of its own: nitrile can be stretched up to 500% of its dimensions. Thanks to the so-called "material memory", it conforms individually to the contours of the hands.
  • Nitrile gloves are more durable than other single-use gloves made of different materials, so they are also safer. They also offer optimal grip.
  • The chemical resistance enables a wide spectrum of applications. It is also the perfect alternative to latex for people with allergies because nitrile is protein-free.
